[Masterpost] Customizing BookLikes

Reblogged from Great Imaginations:

There are quite a few tutorials on how to change the layout of your BookLikes blog. I figured it's good to have them all in one post, and I'd like to thank all who put a lot of work into making them so others can enjoy BookLikes.

Because the Night - Kristen Strassel I'm her agent so of course I love it.
Wallbanger - Alice Clayton Hilarious, sexy, and plenty naughty. Loved the cat.
Team Human - Sarah Rees Brennan, Justine Larbalestier Well written, and a fun romp, but I just couldn't get into the story or care about the characters.
Beautiful Bombshell (Beautiful Bastard #2.5) - Christina Lauren Vegas! Shenanigans! Sex! I love this serious with a serious passion. I can't wait to read more about Hannah and Will!
Rose Under Fire - Elizabeth Wein Just as beautifully terrifying as Code Name Verity. No more now. I have to sort my thoughts and feels.
The Ruins of Gorlan (Ranger's Apprentice, #1) - John Flanagan Very fun read. I'll probably read another from the series soon.
Fangirl - Rainbow Rowell Amazing. Beautifully written. I loved the characters so much and I loved their struggles. Fantastic novel. I suppose I should read Eleanor and Park.
The White Queen - Philippa Gregory Repetitive. The ending felt rushed after all the hoopla getting to it. I'll definitely try The Red Queen because I'm interested in Henry Tudor's mother.
Infinity: Chronicles of Nick, Book 1 - Sherrilyn Kenyon, Holter Graham Love the quirk in this book.
Beautiful Bitch (Beautiful Bastard, #1.5) - Christina Lauren Love, love, love this series. Each installment gets better. This novella was the perfect read for a relaxing afternoon, it reads fast and leaves you satisfied (lol, that's punny). It was great having Bennet and Chloe back. Can't wait for the next full length novel!
Sweet Shadows - Tera Lynn Childs Solid books that I wish I liked more. The sisters have different personalities but something about having all three of them on my page bugs me. I feel like they don't really get to be fleshed out and they just have this attributes to make them different just because they have to be different. I'd like to see more depth. I do love the bend on mythology.
Never Deal with Dragons - Lorenda Christensen I'm her agent so of course I love it. Seriously guys. Dragons, real ones, big meaty fire-breathing dragons!
Poison Princess (The Arcana Chronicles #1) - Kresley Cole Amazing. Enrapturing. I cannot wait to see where Evie and Jack go next.
Fortunately, the Milk - Neil Gaiman, Skottie Young Best chapter book of 2012. Love, love, love this story and the father and the girl's reactions to his tall tales.
Freakboy - Kristin Elizabeth Clark I sat down at noon today to start reading this. I didn't put it on my Goodreads because I wanted to try a chapter before I committed to reading it in front of all of my social networks. I have this thing about novels in verse not really working for me. Maybe they do and I just don't read them often enough.

Freakboy is amazing. The subject matter is tough and it is dark but there are slivers of hope lined up inside for you while reading. I cried, I hoped, I wanted more than anything for Brendan to find his way. This is such an important book for LGBT teens to read. I hope librarians and teachers and those who are able to reach these teens put copies in the hands of those that need it.
